Just decided we're going to brave the cold and head up to Burnham tomorrow regardless. Vague plans are to do some jobs tomorrow then if it's not insanely freezing head up to Fambridge for Sat evening, Sunday evening back in Burnham. Anybody around wants to meet up/go for a cheap curry give us a shout!

I think we've made up our minds to stay home and do some domestic DIY. Primary job that needs doing before we can go back in is antifouling and realistically it doesn't look like being on this weekend with the temperature never set to rise above 5deg

Very frustrating 'cos I'm itching to try out the new sails! Worse it now means we'll be still on the bank when we had planned to be out and about sailing. Hey ho.

Have fun in the freezer! :)

Weather or not, doesn't matter.
I am going to wrestle the Radar Chartplotter beast into submission this weekend, and have new twinkly lights in the cockpit.

And lots of other things too.

Well I'm missing you and would love to make it, but not sure time will allow. If the the miracle of Easter extends to putting a few more hours into the day on Saturday, then we will come....

(will call you later to arrange something anyway).x

Any of you out and about on the Crouch (brave souls!!) might need to know about this:

"Please be advised that as of 28th March 2013 and until further notice the SWALLOWTAIL WEST LIGHT BUOY VQ(9)10s in position 51° 40.043N 001° 02.652E is off station".

Issued by the Crouch HM today, and posted on various East Coast Pilot/Sailing websites!

Sorry been naff at staying in touch.... All crazy here, much to chat about. Space for you to stay over if you want.

I'm curried out, but I'm always up for a beer :)

Apologies if I was a bit brief earlier. I was in a rush to get a train that turned out to be 20 minutes later than I thought it was. It's not the weather for waiting at stations.

I've got a charger to fit, and the mast wiring to sort out, and I've just tidied up (this was a large enough job to remark on), and a chart plotter to install with my lovely AIS radio. However, I'm now off to the ferryboat because easter friday is all about procrastination.

No worries, I did feel a bit of an Internet weirdo accosting you in the Co-op! Assuming our fix on the engine works hope to catch up tomorrow. Will probably be going to shops tomorrow am so if there's anything heavy you want bringing down please shout.

Nice morning doing stuff at home, then down to the boat. Its just taken me 3 hours to extract the wiring for the DCM600 Battery monitor which is being replaced by a Sterling unit with the new Alternator to Battery Charger. Then took a further hour wrestling the alternator + cable out of the loom to feed to that unit.
Now need to make up a couple of neg battery cables in the shed tonight.

Pleasing moment is when the Binnacle with all the new instruments and chartplotter slotted straight onto the lower half without fouling anything. It looks fab. Need to continue tomorrow slotting the new cabling down the pedastal leg. The layout for the course computer and all associated bits looks like it will be problem free. Hahahaha.

Dunno about the quadrant ram bracket though, that looks ermm, difficult.

Mrs FC has got me a huge white truffle easter egg, and we are having smoked salmon roulade followed by sirloin an blue cheese sauce. And a bucket of red please.

At the risk of opening myself up to all sorts of suggestions; I forgot to get Vaseline. I need a large tub of it. If you could, that would be smashing, but don't if it sends you out of your way. Looking forward to sharing my booze stash. :)

For the over active imaginations out there... it's to waterproof the mast wiring joints.

Have Vaseline, boat on Fambridge hammerhead but no Internet. Currently in Ferryboat. Tried to PM you my mobile but your inbox is full. If you see this after we leave Ferryboat and want to call you could try getting our number from Full Circle. Hope to catch up soon if not this weekend:-)

I'll be back there in the next hour. I'm having a seriously vexing day. Our cleaner couldn't get in the office this morning, so I've had to go all the way in to London, only to find out the door lock is knackered, so nobody can get in the office on Tuesday, which means I need to sort that out beforehand. Then my really quite expensive earphones packed up, and ended up in a bin on Great Eastern Street. Now, some annoying arse is burping and being a nob on the train, and I have no earphones to drown him out. I should have stayed in bed today.

Will PM you my number.
