Mariners are advised that as of Saturday 28th December 2013 the Crouch Northerly Cardinal Lighted Buoy in position

has been taken off station until further notice.

I passed it late afternoon on the Saturday, the buoy had either dragged or broken free and was lying against the saltings near Holliwell Point.

Coastguard duly advised.
