Well, welcome to my neck of the woods. My fields overlook Mylor Harbour, 200m north of the marina, across the mouth of Mylor Creek. You will have a great time exploring and the weather looks set fair too.

We only had a weeks holiday when we visited so only 3 days in Mylor but it was as you say a lovely spot and the marina staff were great. We rented a car and saw a little more of Cornwall that you wouldn't normally visit from a boat.

I wished we had a little more time though as I would have liked a night or two further up river on the floating pontoon, I've heard it is beautiful and tranquil.

Absolutely right Riuchard, it is lovely up the river. Park on a pontoon and then take the tender up the Fal, bear right at Tolverne rather than on to Truro, go on a rising tide, up past Lord Falmouth's deer park No houses or moorings up there. Just lovely.

It is, we spent a few lovely days on a mid river pontoon up there last year. Visited the Heron Inn in Malpas on the dinghy. Bliss.

We berth in Mylor however are not there at the moment, just spotted you on the webcam. Can recommend Castaways and if you walk down to Mylor Bridge there is a great general store plus a fish shop which is amazing!

You can tie your tender up alongside Tesco in Truro on a high tide too.

Yes! We walked to Mylor Bridge yesterday to the General Stores. A lovely walk. Planning to head up river to a mid river pontoon on the weekend and then perhaps an overnight trip to Fowey assuming they can take us. Can’t wait!
