Can anyone advise us on a report that we have heard that a visiting foreign flagged boat staying in Croatian waters for more than two years is liable to pay Croatian import tax? We are presently exploring the Croatian coast in our Bavaria 42S and have been there for almost two years. We intend to stay for a further year, but do not wish to be caught by this possible tax. We have also heard that it is possible to exit the country briefly and then return for another two years. Do you know if this is correct? Also, is there a time scale period when one must remain out with the country before re-entering? Any info on this would be much appreciated! John
