My Jeanneau of 2005 has a Cristec 25a. It does emit a lot of EMC noise, and is crude voltages. However, putting it through the Sterling A-B unit takes away the obvious charge mode faults, It does allegedly have a 3 stage smart charge algorithm.Had one OEM on a 2002 Jeanneau. Not impressed. Very bad cable borne noise, poor choice of voltages, crude timed only boost that would restart after momentary mains interruption.

It also has a range of voltages - here is a link to the manual http://www.cristec.fr/images/stories/documents/cps3-1m-2m-deb.pdf
Page 22 of 80 is where they are shown.
This manual is for units manufactured before 2011.
I haven't changed it because although it affects the HiFi system, I dont find it annoying enough to blow 500 quid on a superior device.
