Searched Amazon and nothing, nowt /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I am in peril of me life having had Mrs N watch the whole three series and now there will be blood on the floor cus she don't know how it all ends............

Help!!!!! I can hear the knife drawer being delved into and utterances from the kitchen "nah that one won't kill him I need a bigger one"........... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I thought this post was going to say you were down to your last four Absolutes, and an emergency all expenses paid trip was needed to pop over and pick up a couple more from the Caribbean!

And here was me ready to kindly offer my services to a friend in need /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Better delete this post then /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Google and IMDB reveal that series 4,5 and 6 haven;t been released anywhere, but I could, as usual, be wrong /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

We've had the first three series released close together but nothing now since September 2006. Are we ever going to see the final three series? If so when?

Personally, I could probably live more happily without them.

At the time, I thought the first series was absolutely brilliant, but as the show developed over the years the plot lines became more desperate, especially the 'pairings' of characters which became ever-more ridiculous. By the last couple of series you could predict the love-interest plot lines by working out who had yet to sleep with whom! I exaggerate, obviously, but in essence...

I'm not too sure exactly when things started to go downhill, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was about half-way through. Maybe it would be good to see Series 4 again after all, just to confirm.

I have to agree with Tony. Like a lot of soaps, Howard's Way did lose its way after a highly engaging three seasons. However, as a completist, I welcome the last 3 seasons on DVD. It would be good to rediscover hidden gems which my mind has lost over the years since the series first screened.

I've got the book /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif if you want to borrow it /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

err have I missed something have I come on to the wrong forum.
I have to ask as a novice and all that, not the fact my boating skills are on a postage stamp but..

what has this got to do with motor boating ???

oh and PS did anyone record Robin Hood on Saturday /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

only joking guys /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

You need to PM Jez.

He's a bit of an Anorak on Boats and all things Howard's Way!

He knows how sad this is in reality but he'll be able to let you know what happend at least.

The reason you will need to PM him is that he'd never admit it just like a few others on here! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi Trev,

You could always console yerself with a DVD set of Father Ted. Comes highly recommended.

"That's mad Ted"

/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have too watched every one spotting boats I know on the hamble and lymington area, my dad nearly bought the humber 38 solent mermaid, its now moored at glandford boat club, at brigg in humberside, sad info I know.

I think the early series was best some charcters should have been written out a long time ago, great respect for ken masters he really made the show! imho.

Spotted susan gilmore in lymington a few years back too think shes still a boater, she was pregnant in most of the series from memory!.

I saw all of it on sky channel uk drama, im sure it will be back on again soon.

Jan as in jan harvey at one time was with real life partner ken, real name stephen yardley, wonder if there still together?

He played ken masters in the series, I watch a lot of the old stuff on sky from time to time, he was in the very first episode of the sweeney the pilot episode was called regan, glynn owen who played jack rolfe was in the professionals , kate omara was in another drama about life on a cross channel ferry, cant remember what it was called.
Susan gilmore who played avril rolfe is the daughter of peter gilmore who was in poldark another sea faring drama.

Many have passed on now, always wondered what happened to poor old leo he suffered more than anyone else in the drama nver saw him again after the end of howards way, surely other forumites must know where some of them are, we have quite a mixed panel of professionals who love boating, I wonder if we have any actors who look on here?.

The only actress I have seen on a boat is the blonde from the vicar of dibley, emma chambers she has a house in lymington and was a member of lymington town sailing club, she also had a house there.

Titchmarsh has a grand banks I was told, over in cowes.

Well I have been instructed that it is "Father Ted-a-thon" next weekend since I made Mrs N watch three series of Howards Way this w/end and no ending, can't say I am not looking forward to it, Father Ted is just hilarious, the one we watched last week had us in tears.

Frig me! the things we do when boatless at weekends, roll on end of Dusseldorf show when we get our 52, I'll have serious withdrawl by then and "Ted'ed" out /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Having watched so much of it this weekend I have to say my interest was just a bit of rose tinted reflection cus its what made me want to work my socks off so one day I could fulfill my dream of being in the business but actually (although I am no expert) compared to the drivel that's on TV these days and reality TV rubbish it was and still is really entertaining.

Now of course I am beggering the question who in the present marine trade is like who from Howards Way?, I'd guess Hugo is that posh racing bloke who went racing for Frere and then went to Ken Masters, Carl Richardson is the real driver behind all those boaty stunts only they cut most of them for fear H&S went beserk /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now who is ken Masters? .......jeez don't even go there /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif, could be writs flying all over the place /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ah ha, so this is where you are........ /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

As you can see I have at last figured out how to infiltrate the inner sanctum of the revered YBW site while you went out for more cigarettes..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'll nominate you as Charles Frere only because I want to be Avril who was the real boss anyway /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

PS I think Son Vida is er, em , actually I don't think Howards Way was ready for SV II, he needs a TV show all of his own /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
