Re: Your reply to my post....

Great news!

Just found a spare nightie - I'll be there. Take it you have cucumber slices and moose dung on board?

Ho, ho !

Wish I'd turned on the computing engine last night. Seriously though, I've got bring Enigma round from East Mersea to the Beaulieu River and what was originally going to be late October is now looking to be more like December the way the refit's going . . . Thames Estury should be OK without fog but I'm not looking forwrd to the south coast in a winter SWerly !

If your going to drink in Crosshaven you should be in Cronins.....! Anyway - had a great weather window at 2am this morning so went for it single handed. I am now tied up in Falmouth eating a nice Rowes chicken pasty for my breakfast.....

I lived on Rowes pasties when I was a student at the Art college several years ago - IMHO best pasties you will get.

Anyway trip was quick, nice beat and didnt get wet once. Popped over to have a quick look at Fastnet but couldnt see the lighthouse so a wasted trip...

Re: Your reply to my post....

Heh heh, if you want moose dung I can send you a few kgs...
Got loads of it around my cottage where the local fauna keep depositing it!

Not sure what HMC&E would make of the dung-pellets though if they opened the package 'cos of the "interesting odour" :o)

No thanks - if it had been a BenJenBav, I'd have been there like a shot. Unfortunately the Farr 40 keels seem to have a habit of breaking off in a bit of a blow due to inadequate lay up in the keel area (according to a recent New Zealand inquest), so I'll give it a miss thanks.

Mind, I might have been able to write another "exciting" YM article (though it still smarts that Twister Ken got £300 for his, and they only paid me £200 for mine)

Not fair!
