Hi All,
I was on a Viking 22 today and noticed that an area of the cockpit floor, roughly where a nav seat would normally be, was creaky. It definitely had some give in it, and I jumped lightly on it a couple of times. Definitely a lot of flex and creak. The boat is from the 80s so its by no means new.
I was not able to lift or look under the carpet, which covered the cockpit and was itself in good condition.
I'd love to think there's just a big old piece of marine plywood under there and this is an easy fix.... but I also know that with boats its not always so simple
Any advice please on what the construction of the cockpit floor is like for Viking boats and whether this is typically an easy fix on a river cruiser? Is it maybe common and not a cause of concern if the floor is creaky and moves a bit?
Thanks! (again)
