Does anyone offer a replacement service for crazed polycarbonate in hatches? it seems a waste to junk the whole hatch. Can I fit a new piece myself Any Ideas
Paul
Are you sure it is polycarbonate? - all that I know from the reputable manufacturers are acrylic (eg Perspex) (no doubt someone will point out an exception though). I believe that polycarbonate is generally regarded as too easily scratched and not rigid enough.
Acrylic is easily replaced, either as a spare from the hatch manufacturer or from a specialist acrylic supplier.

Hi, I'm sure there was a step by step guide to doing this in either PBO or YM not that long ago. You could search the magazine index on this site and get a copy.
I have a similar problem and found someone at the boat show who can provide replacement acrylic from a template. Will look at out tonight and send you contacts
