Cranchi Zaffiro 36! New Boat...Scoop (With Pics from MAPISM)

and i agree with you. cant do faces. and i will tell you what i looked at their bigger ones and they looked far to much like spaceships than boats. the white floor outside in the 34 looks horrible and should be another colour that was the only thing plus the mustard colour that i didn't like that is not on the 98 year boat. the inside of the 34 looks better on the new model becuase the 98 is very white inside but very well made and solid boat. i guess the 98 i looked at is nearly 10 years old and it looked great i think i will go and have another look this weekend

Yes, I think in 2001 they went over to a wood interior rather than the white material, but the layout is the same and if you can live with the white joiners it is a really good boat.

I guess with a 98 boat you are looking at KAD 42's or 43's?

The KAD 43's are 3.6 litres, 6 cylinder against the D4's which are 3.7 litre 4 cylinder. KAD 43's are 230Hp and the D4's are either 225Hp, 260Hp or now 300Hp (from 07 only)

If they are smokey, try a liberal dose of Soltron or other fuel additive - might just clear them up.

D4 is 2x260HP for the 43 is 2x230HP
I am surprised hearing the 43 smokes
not even the 42 after 95 smoke
just give the throttle slowly and it want not even an old engines, unless the fuel is so bad in UK
in the med I can get a 34 Zaffiro for about 120 EU selling with 2 x KAD43

I wonder do they plan a hard top? The 34 is a serious machine. Having skippered one quite a bit this summer i'd love one... some day. But both myself and the owner agree a hard top (back as far as the radar arch) would be nice, considering our climate (Ireland)

The dining area in the saloon doesn't look like as good as the 34 tbh, the 34 has a slightly more L shape, more efficent

you are right they should have spen the money making a nice roof and making the outside less white. the layout is the best i have seen and is very roomy it seems more than 34 feet long from other kinds of boats i have seen

Have you checked out the Jeanneau Prestige 34 sports cruiser, better boat for your money imho in terms of layout and simmilliar quality in that range and no I am not a dealer or broker

Well I sort of agree with you but the cock comment was going too far. However, cyber thugs do spoil so many forums these days and it's a real shame.

I've met EME and he's not at all like that in real life. Maybe he's having a bad day!

I am told they cope with the rough very well and better than most in that size, although have no direct experience only annecdotal feedback.

I have to say (without having a bitch at anyone - sorry) that the dive platform or should it be landing platform has to go, it's looks like a bolt on extra and as already mentioned the number one bugbear for me has to be that step in the middle of the cockpit. IMHO that is.
Has it got a bow thruster, opps sorry thats another post!!
Right, my turn who shall we have a go at now...........

To be fair, they are actually over 37ft LOA - but yes, the layout is still very very good.

the passenger on the 36 seems to be next to the driver with no other seat that is not very good. plus the step down how do you walk past the table all too much confusion and poncy nonsense for me

all this agreeing with you is very unfamiliar. Not sure where Cranchi's ideas are going, but it really seems like a step backwards - or maybe I just don't get the design, which is highly possible. The cockpit looks very similar to the Benny Monte 37 - so there must be summink in it.

OK Children,

Can we all stop Hijacking this thread! Jez, I actually agree with you. The 34 is just soo good and the 36 is going in a different direction.

Rumour would have it that it is the same hull as the Z32, but with a 2ft extension. Waterline length is only 26ft 9 inch compared to Z34 at 28ft. The reason for keeping it shorter has to be too save costs, afterall construction materials have increased by 20%. This however defeats the object and reduces cabin size and waterline length..Bizarre . I Have also just been told that it is close to £195k ........

Mad product if you ask me. I now prefer the prestige 34HT to this. But the Z34 will stay as king

Cheers
