Having spent over an Hour on the SIBS stand and chatted (a lot) I was amazed to open up that huge book they give you and find information on the Zaffiro 36! Yes they are replacing the 34 at last. I can not find any links but if you get a Silver book off them she is in there!

Amazed they never even hinted about it!

Cheers

Re: Drawings & Layout

I know that the 34 has been a popular boat, but I felt it looked waay to dated.

This is very interesting!

Re: Drawings & Layout

definitly needs something big to beat the 34 Z
I dont like much the dining area inside which looks small and not comfy
the 34 Z had a well sized c-shaped settee that was comfortable
outside is where the bonus seems to be with a spacious enviroment, that steps as already stated looks awkward but
the BP also seems to be hydraulic up and down as it is a bit seperated from the actual boat but I might be wrong
cabins look big
as usuall from Cranchi quality will be on the high side but as I said when they presented the 50 7 years ago the teak inserts bits and peaces IMO look cheap
it also seems to offer something different to the competition...

Re: Drawings & Layout

I have great memories of our 34 which we sold earlier this year. What a well built, stylish and brilliantly laid out boat. We did 120 hours last year including a 10 day trip to Ireland with the two kids onboard. Had an Endurance 39 before the 34 but with a tender on davits the 34 had so much better accomodation and rode better in a big sea. If a new model is on the way it will be more expensive so go for a late 34 with D4's good for 40 knots and so economical. All the best with your search.

How wonderful ...

... a competitor says he thinks its' crap !!!

Am I missing something or is time to get rid of the 't'internet pimps (or me !! ) . Apologies to all mates of Jez but this is nonsense ...

How can anyone expect objective advice here if commercial interest is veiled ????

( A genuinely objective question......?)

Sorry, but I think you're missing something. Apart from the fact that he's still quite entitled to an opinion (and to express it) regardless of whether or not he sells a competitive product, in the years he's been on here he's never shown anything other than integrity and courtesy (execpt to those he knows well perhaps /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif).

If he were to denigrate a competitive product or to promote his own IN AN UNDERHAND FASHION then I would agree with you. As it is I don't believe he's cost Cranchi any business or gained any himself by his comments.

It been done to death elsewhere but the forums would be far less interesting places without the likes of Jezbanks, Nautical, Malthouse, and even BrokerBen who was roundly castigated and has since modified the way in which he posts so they're a bit lighter and more obvious as to who he is.

Thinking about it, it would be far more relevant to kick off the boring gits who write those bombastic posts, errrm like mine really.. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Disclaimer: never met him, didn't buy me a beer at SIBS, no commercial connection, etc.

I might be inclined to purchase you 'andel sir !

Alas your observation is crap! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

There is no reason why any person 'with an interest' shouldn't be allowed to express their view .. Alas , whatever their genuine intent, their view is worthlesss. Hence it should not be posted.

Everyone knows that don't they ??? Would you suggest a competitor's boat is better then yours ? If you did your wife would be entitled to do a 'Bollox-steak-hache'....... Get Real !

Jez is ( obviously) beyond reproach .....

Ho Hum !

Hmm agree with your sentiment however I would bet the chances at greater than 50% that the boat promoter in question is following up such postings with PMs to promote such products. I know I have experienced such behaviour on here before, no brokers mentioned to spare the guilty.

PS. It also seems a bit unfair when Gludy has been asked to remove a link to a video he took of a boat he is buying when he has no commercial interest simply boaty enthusiasm whilst other 'brokers' on here flagrantly abuse the anonymity of the forums to sub-conscioulsy promote their own products.

Axshully may I be ruder ?

I have no problem with anyone here posting their vested interest/knowledge , indeed it has added to the value of the whole.

However as soon as this place becomes a secret society of who is pushing what /(up where) / knows what / thinks they are clever ... it's 'FiUCKED' ( apologies)

Folks claiming that Jez or I have 'earned' our rights are thick-as-[--word removed--]. This is a public forum ... GET REAL ... I've been here longer than that .. rights are earned through content not longevity !!

2 foot bathing platform ---- that will be another £700 sir - says the nice marina people /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

His view isn't "worthless" at all, it's an opinion. You can ignore it, agree with it, dis-agree with it, whatever you want. That's the whole idea of the forum surely - to post opinions, information, etc., otherwise we may as well not have a forum. Sorry, you've lost the plot totally....

Just seen your last post. You can be as rude as want being as you're purely a faceless entity.

As far as Jezbanks is concerned his posts have earned my respect because of their quality and the fact that my own limited experience agrees with them factually although our opinions differ.

As far as your posts are concerned I have learnt that you feel some people should not be allowed to post opinions and that you will come very close to being abusive to those who disagree with you.

I could be totally wrong but, as people say, perception is everything.

Do have a nice day.... /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Can't speak for the new model, but the 34' actually is almost 37' LOA, with a 34' hull.
I'd expect them to follow the same approach on the new 36'.

they are all at it, slimey buggers that probably send messages to each other better they had a trade flag at their name so we know who is up to what. i have been looking at the 34 but a lot older model in my budget this new model will not help because it looks rubbish and is smaller than the 34 which will mean the 34 will keep its price. i viewed a new 34 at the boat show, it is great inside has loads of room and was £174000 too much for me actually £100000 for me. i dont know why but there are very few for sale and none for sale with the new volvo engines but they are too expensive i would need a lot older one. looking at the platform on the 36 why would anyone want one so big and just more parking fees, it looks like you would have to climb over each other to get into bed the 34 you can get in either side. and the back bedroom is great with 2 beds that make a big wide one. there is s lot of seat area inside in teh 34 but the 36 looks like you are in a row. thanks for the pictures i had better find a 34 before the prices go up. i have not seen any other boat in my budget to beat it for usefulness and deck room

No problem !!

Faceless????

In my dreams !!

Unfortunately ( and it isn't JB's issue ) that is how opinion is formed !!

I do not care . How many posts have you made ? A few more and you can be Jez's Bagman !!

Get Real ... this place started as 'LOTS' of fun .... the day it is vested interest without JHR, HLB, ...blah ...blah .... I'm gone.

............. it is not about volume it's about honest , shared opinion .... take one of those 3 words away and any forum is f 8 8 8 8 8 ( use the keyboard as you will !!) /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I agree with you ( /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif) - the Zaffiro 34 is a great boat, with a huge level of accomodation and a really nice design. That boat had a nice wrap aorund settee, two large cabins and a good heads compartment.

My comment was born out of suprise that it apparent replacement seemed to be a backwards step.
