Cranchi 41 Endurance owners

Hello to all,

During the next week I am expecting by road transfer my new (to me) boat from Croatia, it is a 2005 Cranchi 41 Endurance, with twin Volvo D6 350 fully loaded.

The boat was surveyed and all procedures have been made. There are few issues to resolve (nothing serious) upon arrival and I will be on the water soon after that.

After a short search in the forums I see there are not many owners of this specific model. I understand the reason, given that the 41 Endurance is a MED oriented boat, which is something I was looking for. You see here in Greece we spend most of our time outside, enjoying the sun and the hot weather, which is actually more than 6 months per usual year.

I was wondering, are there any 41 Endurance owners in here so we can exchange knowledge?

Thank you in advance,

Nick
Any space here for a 39 endurance owner? :-)

Maybe the ADMIN can rename this thread from "Cranchi 41 Endurance owners" to "Cranchi 39/41 Endurance owners"
Thanks

We have owned a 2007 Endurance 41 since 2012. No problems with the Cranchi part of the build, just the usual Volvo issues.
One of the best boats for the Med in its class and unbeatable value for money.

Hi. What 'volvo issues' have you had? I've only recently bought mine and any info will help :)

Where to start with Volvo issues !
Engines themselves are good, Not had any problems and have never let me down - Its the drives and controls. we have changed gear yoke on both out drives twice, Gear actuators have been replaced - Poor design with electrical control system operating mechanical links - Should be fly by wire ( We now know how to reset these and fix the problem ) DPH props aren't the best - Plastic hubs fail and then props start to move on shaft. New props are 2000euro here in Spain. You can get the hubs replaced in the UK for a few hundred pounds but not in Spain.
Bow thruster design isn't too good. Belts wear out (90euro ! ) and you have to lift boat to replace them.

Hi All

Lots of requests for owners manuals, did anyone manage to get hold of one?

Out today on the 39, unfortunately it started with a warning light on the dash and alarm sounding for the left engine. Does anyone know what the dash lights represent? There are 4 either side.

Thanks!
