Speaking as a Memory sailor, we're generally rather pleased to see Shrimpers going the same way - they're really quite easy to catch. I'm not sure if that applies to a Crabber 17, though. I would concur with the comments about the inadvisability of dry-sailing a Memory - rigging and de-rigging take a couple of hours (and in fact, we prefer to have her craned onto the trailer).
We took the Memory to the English Raid in Plymouth last year - the various BayRaiders were fast, but not very traditional. I don't think anyone has mentioned the Kite yet. They sail well and are very fast, and have a small-ish cabin. Andrew Wolstenholme designed her with trailer-sailing in mind (and takes her all over the place). She's now available in GRP as a finished yacht - http://www.demonyachts.co.uk/
