Just chatted to Alan on MSN about 5 minutes ago.

He says he feels the worst is over. I passed on all your (our) good wishes to which he thanks everyone.

I can assure you all that Alan is still laughing. He looked in far better nick than I thought he would.
He still has some tests to go through, but the signs are good.

Hi All, many thanks for all the support for Alan, he really appreciates it. Good to meet you on Saturday too Jim. We all got a bit of a shock but he's on the mend. Been texting him today & his scan earlier today looks promising & results are expected tomorrow. He's off the high dependancy ward & hopefully he'll be out on Friday. Thank you all again on his behalf, sure he'll be thanking you all himself when he can.

Would love to, depending on work & timing (Oostende was actually a bit of a tester for me to see If I had the sea legs, only been out a few times previously - coped OK i think). I really enjoyed the comp crew course back end of last year in Gibraltar & wanting to do the Day Skipper course next (again depending on time & work)
