Cowes-Torquay-Cowes power boat race.

Well we parked in Yarmuff and walked to Fort Victoria and watched from there. I took a couple of photos but anyone who knows my photographic skills will appreciate me not uploading them. I was surprised how spread out the boats and unfortunately from the wall of the fort they seemed quite a way out, so it wasn't as exciting as I hoped….
We were there too! Hope we didn’t get in your way ? there were some serious lenses on display.

yup, we were out also, picked the wrong side of the start chute as they ran north and we were south of the line. nice to see them racing again and massive kudos to SIilverline, averaging over 94 mph is some achievement!

Have to be honest and say the tracker app was totally useless and we ended up heading home as we had no idea what time boats were coming back. the winning boat wasnt even showing on the app... such a shame that with the tech available today its not possible to make this more of a spectator sport which would also bring sponsors and encourage new boats to the line?
was not even able to find the race on tracker, Usually on Yellow Brick but not listed for this year,
Found it hard to even find results of the race, very disappointing .
Well done to Drew and Miles for winning and getting the record.
Wonder how much fuel they used

We watched from the boat near fort Victoria. Tried to take some pictures but due to the melee I got nothing worth sharing on here. The sound going past was something else.

Some forumites might know that as well and running a classic powerboat brokerage service, with my chum, forumite Le Scarron, the pair of us run the Cowes Classic Powerboat Rally on race weekend.

This year our best attendance so far. Here's a few pics
