Cowes Rig, shoes, black or brown?

Brown deck shoes (although blue are acceptable).

There I was, at a dinner at the RYS (brown deck shoes, with a hint of blue Cruiser Uno, since you asked), and I went for a wee.

Can you believe it? - at the urinal on my right was *Sir* Robin Knox Johnston!

So I turned to him and said "Hey Billy-Bob!, bet you never thought you'd ever be having a wazz at the Royal Yacht Squadron, right next to McFrame!"

And he said;
"Hey, McF, High Five right back at you" ?

One thinks not,

More like;
"OMG, who let this YBW forumite in here, Steward, STEWARD...":D

Last time I was there I was in dinner suit with a pair of black steel toecap safety boots. When getting dressed to go out I had fogotten that on the previous occasion I had arrived home with aching feet and thrown out my only pair of black shoes saying "I must remember to get another pair"...:D
