Rough Cost? To Service a Honda 5HP (2002)
So, gear box oil, water pump, spark plug, engine oil, greasing of moving parts? Or anything else - sounds like I need to change career haha.

My 2007 Honda 5 HP just cost me about £200 quid for a big service.
Impossible to quote for. Some seized studs and replacement could rack up the hours.
It's a Honda, so it's a 4 stroke.You don't say if it's a 2 or a 4 stroke... assuming no structural issues, my 4HP 2 stroke was about £90 this year...
I was suggesting the answer to the question, which was not "What is the menu price?" but "Rough Cost? To Service a Honda 5HP?"Surely not. Any auto shop will quote for a regular service, so why not with outboards, too?

Honda have never made a two stroke outboard motor, they did make a very nice NSR 400 2T, but that was a motorbike. My first reaction, too, since Honda's excursions into stinkwheel territory in other fields have been reluctant and relatively few. However, to my surprise I see they've made plenty of such outboards in the past, although whether in 2002, I've no idea.

Quite right of course, however, if you remember the 400 was street legal, a delight in its day![]()
