Would anyone have any recent experience regards the cost of having a 12m steel hull boat surveyed in the UK.
I'm only after a ball park figure.. Can I expect change from £500?? or looking more like no change from £1k???

What kind of boat. Full survey on a narrow boat is about £10 per foot.

Plus costs of getting it somewhere capable of lifting it and actually getting it out.
No just lift/ hold on steel and a quick visual. Will need to be ashore and thickness test on each plate plus intensive internal search of every nook and cranny especially the rust bucket boxed in stuff.

Last year my pre purchase survey (10m steel hull) from memory was £10 per ft.
A steel one should not be any/much more than a GRP. On both types the work is basically the same, just looking at different materials with different testing instruments.
