Reminded this morning that I'm in the last stages of converting our old plywood rowing dinghy to sail-power and need some rudder pintles and gudgeons for it.
Local chandlery seemed to want £18 or so for each bit, and there are 4 bits to get = £72!
As the cost so far has been 1 x half piece WBP ply, @ £12.50; the sail is going to be a cut down old main off 'HUZZAH', the mast, gaff and boom some glued up pieces from the shed, etc., the 'bits' above seem out of proportion.
Anybody got any better ideas?
