Coolest boat modifications

modify your question to 'motor boat forum'

we yachts people don't seem to have the same mindboggling modifications for our boats, as you mobo's like to suggest.

we tend to prefer a boat to look like a boat and not a design prototype from 'max power boats inc'.

I am sure the mobo forum will be very obliging, waterproof furry dice, transom underwater lights, flourescent engine paints, 10.000 watt sound system on crash bars...etc etc etc..

my coolest mod was a vent in the washboards....

somewhere for the table lamps to go is it, all ready to fit in the boat..

P.S. dont forget the double sided tape , or the lamps will fall over, when you leave the marina...(or even a big dollop of silicone sealant..)

Thought about putting it on Mobo forum, but i didnt realise the Practical Boat owner forum was only for yotties /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'll keep thinking about it /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Thanks for the info

.......Well I was thinking of adding some of those blue strip lights the boy racers put under their cars below the waterline and then one of those loud exhausts on (dunno if the water might cause a problem though), then perhaps a MASSIVE sub woofer in the cockpit locker, some look like bullet hole stickers along the top sides and hang some pink fluffy dice from the radome and to top it off some phat fenders........ oh and some grafix..... "www.essexcruise.com"........ for starters.

What a great idea for a new programme /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

MTV bosses look this way, i'll be happy to be the first, we can kick mine about a bit to made it look old /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

My 15 year old was always begging me to 'pimp my boat'- underwater neons was his favourite idea- but I didn't reckon it would suit an old Macwester! He did fit neons under his micro scooter for a laugh- looked great actually!

nope, this forum is exactly that as far as i know with no particular exclusion of mobos. However, i suppose that what with having a boat that already works puts the original poster in a rare subsection of pbo readers, keeping the thing in south of france also a bit unusual. The correct location for a pbo reader is east coast, really, and it ought to be raining as the owner attempts to restore/revive a piece of carpet that is in fact over 20 years old.

In most DIY stores you can get low-voltage (I think) clear tubes with coloured lights in them. Run some red ones along under the front edge of the seats in the main cabin. Good for night vision at sea, and mood lighting in harbour!

Surely the coolest thing would be to get a decent sized mast fitted and then tie on some big flappy bits, then it would be just like a McGreg.... No, on second thoughts, maybe some serious chrome pimping might be more tasteful!

No masts! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I made a pact upon purchase that i would never do hard work to make my boat move /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'll stick with an engine ta

lights seem a very popular choice, maybe I'll do that (Interior only) cant have any more holes in the hull /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Cheers

I've got it!

Get a girlfriend and then have her lounge around in a bikini. No amount of chrome will beat that. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hehe tried that /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

keeps putting me off my driving concentration though /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I've crashed so many times that way.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Maybe I should just buy more fenders /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
