Beta 16 with heat exchanger and calorifier.
Loosing coolant at a rate which seems to gaurantee high temp alarm at most critical moments.
I've tightened all hoses but have a significant drip from bottom of engine block - seemingly from the bottom nut on the flange between crankcase and gearbox although this is the low point and maybe the natural drip point.
I'm slowly coming to the horrible conclusion that an engine removal and gasket replacement is looking likely.
Before doing that I thought I might try a proprietary coolant sealer such as Holts Wonderweld.
Has anyone had success with this tactic or is this simply not suitable for marine engines?
Would I simply pour it into the flushed out header tank in the correct diluted quantity before circulating / draining and refilling ?
Any advice and or warnings very welcome.
