Cooking at Sea?

My partner and I want to buy a boat with the long term idea of sailing to the BVI. I like to cook when we are sailing, so whilst he looks at the chart table, I look at the galley!

We have seen a boat that we both like and can afford, a Warrior 35. However, this has a linear galley, ie in a straight line on the starboard side opposite the dinette. I have never used one of these before, but looking at various boats, it seems a common design.

I am concerned about how to use this long galley in a seaway and not to get thrown around when juggling pans of boiling liquid between cooker and sink. I cannot see how to wedge myself in, as I would with a U shaped galley.

Does anyone sail offshore with a linear galley and if so can you give me any reassurance that this will work?

Many thanks.
