I have a two burner gas cooker / oven on the boat made by plastimo C.1997. I know the new one's have gas shut offs so if the flame goes out it shut's the gas off... can this be fitted to an older model ? or do i need to buy a new cooker.

I only realised how dangerous this was while cooking a bacon butty on sat morning. left the grill for two mins, while i stuck my head out of the hatch.. flame went out. didn't think much of it as it was only a few second. decided to light it again and woooooosh.

The tap (push in and hold until warm) would need to be procured to go with the thermocouple.
Three of them and the chassis-bashing to fit, could be more pain than a new cooker.
Also - think of the gold stars in your jotter from SWMBO if you provide a shiney new toy...

I believe the upgrade kit has been discontinued for a while now (I was looking into this last year).

I think the lifetime warranty has just expired.
However,what an opportunity for SWMBO points------go for it!!!
