Anyone knows what this is all about?

Is it a good club, what sort of things do they do, should I join?

I have always done my own thing but maybe it is timed to change for Swmbo and kids cruising in-groups might be reassuring?

Or is it just a drinking club? (I like that)

Tom

Is this a real club or is it "Con yer" as in "Con you"

if it is it sounds like most business' in the UK should join
-- esp those that sell furniture and service boats - or was I just unlucky /forums/images/icons/mad.gif

Well we all have a pop at the marine industry for service but I think it is widespread throughout every sector. My suite arived today - minus the Chair that they "left in the warehouse" and the 3 seater has been made wrong ..... here we go again. E-mail to M.D. - reply says "I've passed it over to the Store Sales Manager who I'm sure will sort it out"

Why oh why don't people say to themselves "How can I end up with a satisfied Customer" and think outside the box to "Make it Happen" and get off their f*t a**es.

I now assume that everything I buy or everything I order will be delivered late or incorrect. I am surprised when it isn't.

My local Marine Engineer never came back to me about my engine problem (hence the poor performance in Poole) and obviously cant give a **** about customer service. !!!!!!!!!

I'm I a happy teddy - NO

furniture lead times

Alistair, as a general comment on the furniture trade, I can't understand why a simple side table or whatever is always 6-8 weeks delivery. Is that time used up by the manufacturer or is it all in the distribution, or do they not start making the stuff for the first 5 weeks? You can have a car built to your precise spec and shipped from Germany/Sweden in less time. It has been this way for the last 20 years, no improvement, can't understand it. As you know the furniture trade, can you explain?
