Judging by the polarisation on the subject, we've got another topic that we can argue endlessly about.

So updated list is now

Anchors
The right to sail in a crowded channel
Sail is better than steam and vice versa
All mobo owners are crass, more money than sense types
All yotties are miserable, nick picking tossers
Flag etiquette
Col Regs
All fishermen and their gear are the devil's work
The Solent is superior to any other known piece of sailable water
The Solent is crap and why does anyone want to sail there in the first place
All skippers should/ should not be required to have some kind of qualification
The RYA is run by old gits who are out of touch with reality
Customs officers are directly controlled by Gordon Brown

and now heads, it seems.

Battery charging and alternator controllers
Giving way to larger ships
using Tcut or Jif to clean....

Heads are already covered, along with anchors, under "My boat and all it's equipment are beyond criticism. Any suggestion that any item is less than perfect is a personal insult".

Insult a man's wife and you annoy him. Insult his boat and you've made an enemy for life.

I once made a comment along the lines of 'xxxxx boats sail like a brick' and attracted a torrent of abuse from an owner. Now I limit myself to e.g. 'xxxxx are not high-performance boats'.

No sign of Alan yet, wonder if he's decided to stick to the safety of smaller puddles /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Well there was 5 minutes of my life I can never get back, why does any rational being care a jot wot bog someone else has on their boat. Why do sad old men (you lavac maniacs know who you are) measure their righteousness by what other people own?

This really is a sad forum, no wonder it is dominated by old duffers.
