Looks from AIS like Anglian Sovereign has picked up the tow - or is she under her own power? Fairmount Expedition & Carlo Magno appear to have dropped astern - the former by quite some distance. Neuwerk is still in port at Heligoland.

Looks like they will be meeting up with Belgian vessels Stern (Military Ops) and SPM09 (Law Enforcement) soon.

The odds on there being something clandestine must be shortening. I bet that's why she spent so long going round in circles in the Western Approaches - just waiting to see if some more cargo would cook off.

Neuwerk heading due West at 6kts, the convoy of MSC Flaminia, Fairmount Expedition, Carlo Magno, Anglian Sovereign and Dutch 'Law Enforce' vessel Arca all now turning East and making between 2 & 3kts. It'll all be over by tomorrow - I wonder if we'll get anymore news once she reaches Heligoland?

Agreed. Hardly their fault that the powers that be took so long agreeing safe passage, but all credit that it didn't end up dumped in the sea by the forces of nature. A good result assuming there are no hiccups in the last 100 miles.

I found you can use the search but only in the Vessels tab not the live map. They seem to have a cloggy escort now they are off the Netherlands coast

Does seem very odd the number and scale of the escort which does lead you think we're not being told everything! No wonder it was left circling in the western approaches for so long...
