connecting solar panels

I just got an extra 80w panel and it is fitted with what look like ,waterproof ,male and female connectors .I would like to get the m/f set to connect them to wiring to the regulator , but cannot identify them . I am reluctant to cut them off as they look sound . what is the best , most waterproof ,way to connect them ?

they are probably scotch 3mc connectors, very expensive about £8 a pair and can only be installed successfully on the cable with a special tool, I took them off and just used a waterproof connection block. if you do a lot or are feeling flush they are here:-

i solder / amalgamate tape / electric tape them.
took one apart after 2 years, no corrosion, yet ;-)
