Connecting a Garmin 520s to a Uniden Oceanus dsc radio.

Hi all
I am at present trying to connect a Uniden dsc radio to a Garmin 520s plotter/fishfinder. I have the wiring for the Garmin but unsure what wires to connect into on the radio.
gratfully for any assistance.

Assuming that they are both connected to the same power supply, then:
Green of radio to blue of gps

This should get the data up on the screen, if it does not want to play, then connect the bare wire to the 0Volts- black on the GPS

Don't forget to set the gps upto output NMEA 4800

I looked at Unidens - at price extremely attractive .... but the DSC / GPS connection was what decided me against it in the end. It has no Lat / Long GPS display on the VHF screen ... that to me was a serious omission, a) I didn't know what VHF was receiving or if it all, b) didn't know if Distress button sent proper data ....

I note another post saying that data will be displayed ........ my question is data displayed where ? I asked Uniden about data display and they referred to manual which didn't really answer ...
