I said stereotype owners and I'm sure we can all think of examples of each type from our respective marinas without providing written evidence complete with psych reports for the Tranona Court of Law.

No, not antagonistic - just don't like stereotyping - partly because I am just as guilty myself sometimes and usually regret it!

In another past life used to try to help people understand the sources of their stereotyping, or rather the "shorthand" we use when we first meet people. Trouble is, the process is so convenient it becomes our nature and is often counterproductive.

BTW one of my pet hates is lycra clad cyclists with wraparound shades, bunch of bananas on the head and riding on the road when there is a perfectly adequate cycleway alongside. Often think they owe their continued life to careful people like me who would hate the paperwork if we hit them! Heaven forbid they discover fast RIBs!

That's a strange predjudice you have there TK. In my experience groups of cyclists in country lanes are traveling as quickly as cars should & usually go single file when I approach so we can passs each other easily & safely.

On the other hand, the local Barn dwellers in 4x4's are a serious danger to themselves & all other road users. But I suspect we are drifting off course somewhat.
