Compressor for my Fridge

The compressor on my Engel 85 litre fridge has failed and I urgently need a new one. Any ideas on where I can get one?

you dont say whether it is an air cooled, or water cooled compressor, or if you have checked to see if there is any refrigerant in the pipes, but any way I would contact <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.penguinfrigo.co.uk/default.shtm>Penguin</A> as they are very helpful.

It is air cooled and there is refigerant in the pipes. I have had a person look at it and the compressor is dead.

The stockists are Aqua-Marine Eastleigh Hants 02380 694949.
They repaired my fridge last year; new cooling unit was £230 aprx plus £37 labour excl VAT but I took the fridge to them. Not sure which model I got, but cannot be much different to yours.

Ahh, now I have spoken to them but they will only deal with trade, they are not interested in you unless you are a big chandlery.

Strange - they were very happy to deal with little me last year.
I see from my notes that I dealt with either Bob Clarke, or Mark on extension 205 - could try blagging it with them as they can certainly do the job.
