Compass gas solenoid switch

Bought one of these last week from compass mail order catalogue. Blurb says should fit any regulator with 1/4" screw fitting, but so far I have been unable to find anything that fits to either end of it. The gas fitting kit in the compass catalogue appears to have a screw thread in the picture. So far have not been able to contact compass for technical support (despite e-mail at beginning of week). Has anyone else bought one and managed to get it to fit anything??

Sorry, think we've decided a few days ago that we can't answer questions on gas...(grin)...

Take it to a decent plumbers merchant and ask. Can't be that unusual.
