Re: Becky, you\'re right, it\'s Scotland

Getting close - that was a clue - not quite so far (from Luing or whatever was mentioned earlier) as Loch Aline.

Other clues were:
1 Occasional anchorage
2 A bothy
3 Not in Argyll (I messed that up earlier), but looking towards an island in Argyll.

Here's another clue - it's a big island in the photo background.

No longer the normal hauf for a prize - with these clues it's been reduced to a quarter gill.

OK, got it now. I've stopped there for lunch a couple of times but have always anchored behind Eilean Rubha an Ridire (in about 5m and so close you can almost touch it) next to the wee islets. Presumably that's what you can see directly behind the yacht in your first picture. Never realised the wee hoosie on shore was a bothy though, looks far too big, presumably an abandoned croft?

Dave

Presumably the prize is now down to a 25ml measure. Hopefully, as a true scot, you wouldn't sink so low! I seem to remember I still owe you one for Kalamos harbour.

Inninmore Bothy and Bay. The bothy is the one shown on the map at the end of the track (from Loch Aline). There are few remains of walls etc among the trees behind the bothy - apparently this was a village at one time.

The bothy is slightly mankier than our boat, and has the usual visitors book for overnight howffers and visting boats. Nice meadow around the bothy.

Yep. The bay can be pretty exposed, although the holding seemed fine. Like yourself, we've also anchored by Eilean Rubha an Ridire, but find the big jaggy rocks just a little too close for comfort.

Err.... 30ml?
