i find judicious placing of a towel and large amounts of guinness aleviates the symptoms.

i have a bottom like an elephants scrotum
large tough and hard to grab hold of.

The best comfort addition that you could make to the average cruising boat is the addtion of a second hull, alongside the first, with a nice cabin on the bridgedeck in between.

Until you do that you're trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear

Before this thread got 'too silly' the list of a requirements for a comfortable yacht read just like the specification for a cruising cat! So I would add:

1. The ability to live your life on the level, not at 20 degrees.

2. Shallow draught so you can tuck in out of the way of the other yachties and enjoy a shorter row back from the pub.
