Come back Jake MBM needs ya!

Buyer's guide information should come direct from the importers but in SB's case it looks like on this occasion it has been inputted incorrectly. It has now been sorted.

Thanks for the money saving tip about running the Buying Guide every three months (don't tempt the publisher) but the whole point is that it's always there for readers who are new to the magazine or the boat market.

I don't expect regular reader's to read it every month but since they do not come at the expense of other editorial pages, I am a bit bemused by all the fuss. Just ignore them if you don't want to read them.

I'm gonna get flamed for this but, anyway. I keep it no secret that I don't buy the mag any more. Theres only so many times you can read a reprint of an artical from P Caplan that has appered in AN Other mag a couple of months earlier.

I'm a hands on sort of owner. I break it I fix it, sometimes while its still on the water. The last decent article that I read was the one where the chap revamped and old Shetland. Silk purse and sows ear stuff.

I'm not sure who your target audience are. If its Mr Average and I mean Mr 2.4 kids mortgaged upto the hilt with not a lot of disposeable income, then forget the 100k boats. There used to be the Secondhand Scrutiny thing that was quite good.

As I say, I've not read it for a couple of years so may not be in the best position to comment, altho thanks for the 50 quid, it wet the bottom of the tank.

Re: Sub £100k boats

Can the Jeanneau owner send me an e-mail direct on hugo_andreae@ipc media.com so that we can discuss a possible owner's report
