Hi All,

A Danish customer of mine made his cash through selling coffee makers. His latest creation, I think, is incredible. I want one, and I don't even like coffee!

So, figured I would share it here as you lovely people enjoy your quality.
Though be warned! In talking with his captain they are a massive PITA if installed onto a boat.

My home and boat coffee machines have buttons that I push to make the drink - I'm sorry but it just seems a bit silly to have to use an iPhone app when the machine is right In front of me. I don't get it...

£2k will buy you the most amazing prosumer espresso machine.
Looks cool - and if the hostess comes with it, maybe I'd seriously consider one

Coffee coming out of a pipe cut into my very expensive stone work top.


Everyone needs to borrow my iPhone if they want a cup or else use the ipad we've cunningly set into the expensive work top in a way that renders it vulnerable to impact damage and water logging. One can only guess as to the complexity of the gubbins under the counter which will require stooping and squatting to top up, clean, service and so on.

I'm sure for some people it will be this years must have. I would rather fit a traditional machine and enjoy the ritual. Coffee should involve a bit of work, it can't just come out of a pipe.

Clean, easy to use although we cheat and do milk in the microwave and quick. We can run out a dozen cups of differing strength quickly. Importantly we can also cater for soya / lactose free etc. Allows bottled water to be used.

I quite like the look if that !!!i can see the appeal of not wanting a black box coffee machine sat on a work top.

We still use filter paper in a plastic filter container. Slowly pour off-the-boil water over fresh ground coffee. Perfect coffee. All these machines makes you wonder how coffee drinkers of years ago ever managed....

On the other hand, machines make money for the coffee sachet providers....

Very nice machine; I've played with one and it's on my next refurb or refit shopping list. Small world Toby - I've had the pleasure of meeting kvp a couple of times. A good friend of mine bought his first valdetarro off him though has moved onto greater machines since, and kvp showed us around P3 some years ago when she was newly launched. He is pretty passionate about his boats and on his last several boats has had Lasers among his tender fleet which of course very alright on my books!

Nice video but.. I take my coffee black, preferably brewed on Jacobs Krönung (unfortunately only marketed in Germany, but that's to fix ). Alternative may be pure Colombian.

I'm outside target group of any machine capable of blending coffee with a number of other substances/fluids/instant powders etc.

Very nice but does it work on a boat healing over in rough sea or a mobo doing 25knots.

The site does say it can have buttons as well as the app. I think any practical installation would have this - using a smartphone looks cool for the marketing video, but actually it's a crappy way to control stuff which you should be able to reach out and operate directly.

A smart phone works if you need to control a system from several rooms in the house eg a sound system but for a coffee machine which you need to go to to get your drink anyway, buttons would of course be better

Hi Mike,

It can produce boiling water, so provides one of the key building blocks for Tea. But doesn't produce the finished product with such finesse.

The downside to this unit is;
1) Flushes itself after every cycle. So if you're creating multiple coffees, it'll make the process longer
2) Will only take Scanomat Coffee, or that is what I've been advised.
3) The unit does suffer from corrosion in a salty environments.
4) The app is flashy, but I do like buttons as well.

Chatting with the sales lady, they are going to make smaller units for the home / ickle offices. I won't be getting one, mainly because of the ferrocious price tag for my earnings & I just like coffee. But I really appreciate the elegance of the unit and the engineering which has gone into creating it.

There will be somebody who wants to create the ultimate kitchen/galley and will buy one but for me, I'm quite happy to pour boiling water into a cup but then I'm British and I don't know any better
