Whilst rebuilding my dashboard I have made up a new mounting block for my Morse Control levers from teak, I intend to strip all the other teak in the the cockpit and coat it up with Coelan over the winter.
My question is this - I intend using the boat for a few weeks before then, so to prevent my beautifully sanded new teak getting soiled with greasy fingerprints and watermarked should I perhaps prime the new teak up with a couple of coats of Danish Oil or will that prevent the Coelan fom bonding properly later?
