Although with the LM's folding cockpit canopy, you possibly have the ultimate dodgers!

Dunno, I couldn't see. What do people do in their cockpit that needs all this privacy?
We hoped you wouldn't...Dunno, I couldn't see.![]()
This is about crew members who lurk in the cabin and won't help with the sailing, right?Another controversy?
Who likes 'em - and why? Who doesn't.....?
We do too. It cost far too much to be sensible on an aging Snapdragon, but it was the best purchase we ever made. The cockpit is now a useful all-weather space when parkedWe also have a full cockpit tent. Makes the cockpit into a room.
I don't like them, for many of the reasons mentioned in post #20. In addition, I am on a swinging mooring and dodgers would get in the way of me transferring stuff between the tender and the cockpit.I don't much like them (for my own use), and have removed them from several boats (all small or small-ish) I've owned.
Part of the true joy of sailing a small boatI also have an open cockpit, sans dodgers, where I can feel the wind on my face and almost touch the passing waves.
