Cobb BBQ - Brickettes recalled

They cost around £1.50 each!
I use them when we are having a full meal. Three courses + coffee+ hot water for the washing up....all from one cobblestone. It's not too expensive......and I have a BA in skinflintology

A three course meal in a pub or restaurant costs.........?

I always thought they were around the £3+ mark but a quick Google shows I was wrong. I'll have to give the briquettes a try.

Charcoal burners are mentioned in Ransomes books. Swallowdale I think it is. Described the process very well.

Our local charcoal burners on Exmoor run their kettles for at least three days.

Three days for an earth burn is possible. (as in Swallows and Amazons)

Three days for a kettle is, one to load, one to burn and one to empty.
