Coax stuck in mast

We've either been stupid, or unlucky, but in trying to pull our degraded VHF cable down, out of the mast, it broke off and is now stuck. Doh.

Any ideas?

Remove mast, place on the ground or bench, and fit new cable.

That's the hard work done then.

A long pole or halyard to pull a new coaxial down the mast.
