Just found out we have been accepted for the Clyde Commonwealth Flotilla so thought I would start a thread on it. . Anyone else planning on taking part ?

Looked out for you but never saw you.
What a fantastic experience , the atmosphere was superb. RYA Scotland did a fantastic job in planning this and they and all volunteers are to be congratulated on their efforts. Well done to all.

I saw you! I thought it was a pal who has a very similar boat - Bootlegger. It looked great fun! We didn't take our boat due to circumstances beyond our control and instead watched in envy from the shore. I did take some photos. I will check and see what I have of your boat and if they are any good I can PM you and can send you copies - if you want. We were at Clydebank, so were close to the action.
We have been to the River Festival each time it has been on. That was a slow procession. I was wondering how you got on trying to sustain the speed. I think we would have been in/out of gear/one engine trying to keep to the speed which would have been a bit of a chore. There were not very many mobo's.

Yes , I know Bootlegger. It was a brilliant experience but yes was difficult to stay at four knots right enough. Pics would be good if you have any . Send to george@howford-hydraulics.co.uk .
