We have recently bought a clinker built boat from Dittisham. Requiring a lot of work. She is 18ft 8' overall and has a bermuden rig. She was powered by a Stuart Turner 4hp inboard engine. She is pine on oak frames with a mahogony transom and coachroof, and we believe she was built in the westcountry. The coachroof we think is original. However, the windows are not!. She has an iron keel and centreplate. The boats name she is now showing is 'Kestrel'. If anyone could inform me on how to post a picture with this I will. Any information on this boat ie: Builder, age history etc would be grately appreciated.

Sounds a bit like the boats that were built/fitted out by The Chesford Yacht and Launch Co. of Frogmore, Nr Kinsbridge, S Devon (long gone now).
