Cleaning the prop and shaft

Never, hair?, what is this hair - I lost mine so long ago I've forgotten. Bandanna has been the answer, as I have an aversion to the ubiquitous baseball cap.

No - I simply have this fixation that the first step if you want to engender support is to use the search function (seems to simple) and then give credit to the expertise (like that coming from people with credibility (like you) who are willing to share your expertise).

But, you indicate, my message has been noted - I'm expecting a holiday for a few weeks

See you later.....:)

Jonathan
Enjoy your holiday, Jonathan. We've had subzero temperatures here for a while, and although it's now risen to a few degrees above that, a cold wet easterly wind has set in.
Me, jealous? Whatever gives you that idea?
Happy Christmas to you (plural).

I feel embarrassed to say the we are enjoying a clear run of decent weather, temperatures in the low 30s and a sea breeze to provide automatic cooling. We had planned to anti foul and completed it in the shade of the hulls.

Despite, or maybe because, it was the coldest December on record, upto about the 20th of Dec, prop fouling was appalling - but the stainless wire brush and then the paint removal pads on the angle grinder were the answer. It has also been the wettest spring on record - Sydney has been wetter than most places in the (reportedly) dank and dark UK.

Being a typical 'Brit' I complain when its wet and then within days complain its too hot!

But to return to the theme:

We have a hard core of expertise here, Your self, Tranona, Geem, Vyv, Bejam - and don't feel I'm ignoring the others - its a long list and I'm lazy.

But you give your time and expertise for free. We cover every problem you could imagine and some problems (I have never thought of). But why members think it is polite to ignore the search facility and expect a member to regurgitate something they posted maybe 2 moths ago.... seems ...rude.

I'm all for a member querying what was posted previously - but laziness .....?

And yes I sometimes get out of the wrong side of the berth.

Norman, excuse the gripe....

A merry Xmas to you both and all members and best wishes for 2023.

Its Xmas - transgressions need forgiven and forgotten

Warm regards,

Jonathan
