My props have some kind of Mud worm on them & I'm wondering if something
like brick cleaner would help clean them up?
Also is it safe to use "Brick Cleaner" on Bronze props?

Thanks
Ian

Brick cleaner is mild hydrochloric acid.

The best would be to high pressure wash, apply brick cleaner with a brush ( overalls, rubber gloves and a face mask) leave for 20 to 30 minutes wash off with copious amounts of fresh water from a hose and finish with a scouring pad or wet and dry and wash off again.

Do not leave on or leave metals to soak in brick cleaner as another forumite did with an aluminium prop, not much left apparently.

Understood on only leaving the brick cleaner on for 30 minutes, I was hoping for an easy fix I suppose!
I've done the wet & dry method for the past few years but it takes best part of a day to do 2 props.

After pressure washing and brick cleaner there should only be minimal remnants left to remove with scouring pad or wet and dry.

Angle grinder with cup wire brush and goggles works for me, and the brush does touch the bronze as long as you apply it gently. Can clean an entire 22" 3 blade all over in about 25 minutes.

I am trying the seajet two pack plus AF system for props this year. If OB doesn't sell I will give feedback at the end of the season.
