Chroming in Newquay?

I am still musing with rechroming my old winches. I have got quotes from a few places but someone told me today that there is a rechroming chap in Newquay. Anyone used him? Verdict?

be very careful they dont make the drums too shiny. you need somebody who is familiar with what a winch does & how it works

I am aware of that and wouldn't just trust anyone who I was not convinced knew what I wanted and why. I was therefore asking if anyone had used this guy and specifically for winches

The firm I used to work for, sent most of their component in batches of 1000 for plating. about 2/batch failed QC ,mainly because the fettling had not been done properly or damaged in transit before plating.
