Christmas is a\'coming

<font color=blue>As a kid I used to love Christmas. One nice lady used to let me look through her window and watch her family eat Xmas Dinner, some of the nicer kids would tell me all about the presents they had received, indeed one time I thought I was getting a present myself but my parents were only having a joke with me, what fun, how we all laughed when I opened the parcel and there was nothing inside. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I know, Byron, one day you got a really big parcel, opened it and inside was a Princess 435. Now you want to sell it!

<font color=blue>Nope! I found the 435, it was just laying on the river bank where someone had tied it up and left it. Same as my car and my wife's. They had just been left by someone in the gutter, all I had to do was hotwire them as the people who had abandoned them hadn't left the keys.

Re: Christmas is a\'coming

Aaah Christmas.
As a young boy some ten years or so ago, Christmas was my most favourite time of the year. The snow was deep and crisp in Cornwall. I remember it used to cover the piece of sacking I was allowed to live under next to the open sess pit with a beautiful fresh clean white blanket, making the jagged rocks of my bed look all nice and comfy. One year, my best Christmas ever, the man in the big house told me to stop breaking the granite rocks for the dry stone walls with my knuckles for five minutes and let me carry some really heavy logs for his fire INTO the parlour. What made it even better was, when he kicked me out again it did'nt hurt when I landed on the pathway because of the soft snow. I still smile at the thought. I still have the sacking, just to remind me of the good old days. Its what keeps me sane.
Things are a lot worse now, ever since one night, a night as black as a baliff's heart it was, when I met.....
