I thought the average was 20 mph, would be amazed if it was 8, she could barely stand up last week, then of course her training was filmed for television...

Don't know where you got 8 from. I was dividing 20 miles by 1.6 hours to get to 12.
I'm not knocking her achievement in any way. I'm dead impressed, me. She's a great lass, always smiling and always prepared to have a go. (and a looker too).

We were on the cross-channel ferry this morning and, as we neared Calais, the captain announced that CB was in sight on the starboard bow.

We were at the boat early yesterday, walked over and watched her set off.
It was freeezing standing watching - goodness knows what it was like on/in the water.
Some lady - well worth a texted fiver (text word "ski" to 70005) for Sport Relief. I wouldn't have taken it on for £500
