I understand your reference to 'fork handles'.......but plugs?

You think Chris Evans bought a 37 metre Sunseeker because his five year old son liked it..?
You think the 'Smashie & Nicie' radio personality is the real Chris Evans..?
For a man who likes fast cars, 23kts max must feel a bit pedestrian or maybe even his pockets don't extend to running a boat like this! It's surprising he is selling it after just one season
Let me try again! From listening to CE on the radio in the morning he occasionally makes reference to the modest boat he has on the south coast. So I'm surprised he bought something as large as 37m.
The boat on the south coast was the Nimbus 37 he kept at Lymington a few years ago wasn`t it.
And stayed at the very modest Chewton Glen Hotel.

I do as it happens. Do you have evidence to the contrary?
For example ---Name names pleaseThe problem with Sunseeker / Celeb stories is that half of them are are made up (IPC excepted)!
Kinda end up near free boating .
must have just missed you Richard. We berthed at MYC, near blush, for Saturday night. Pretty unnoticeable as we were maybe the smallest boat in MYC. Had birthday party on board so had a bar trawl till 5 am. Weather was fantastic wasn't it. We had glossy flat sea back to Antibes todayWell I had a nose at Blush today and jolly fine she is too .. Helped she was moored outside MYC ..
Tee hee. Nice bit of wishful thinking but sadly not at all true. If a business makes a profit maybe you'd put it offshore to shelter the tax. But if it makes a loss what possible benefit is there of putting it in a tax haven ????!! The country of registration generally is generally not where any charter business is carried on and has almost nothing to do with tax planning. Everything you write is urban mythFor example ---Name names please
These owners of the big stuff operate at a different level than ordinary Joe .
It's not unusual for owners of large boats to operate them as a buisness -ie charter -often the boat is Reg in an offshore entity - for tax mitigation reasons ,as one of several buisness enterprises held by a larger holding Co .Of which any loss making deficit can be offset agianst a profit of anorher Co in the group .Set up properly the depreciation too of the asset can be offest .
.Snapper is Reg in Douglas IOM.Its always been heavily chartered from new .So CE has basically taken over the Co from EJ ,which happens to have Snapper as an asset ? They too will have had to pay the chater Co when on it -so the paper trail stacks up to scrutiny
Some one asked in post how much he paid for it ? Well I suspect any depreciation if it's all been set up properly will be offset .Kinda end up near free boating .
