It's fine for pootling about on a canal but I'm not sure I'd put much faith in it against a tide etc.

Thanks. That's interesting. I've been doing a bit of research on them and I've decided to get one. Based on other peoples experiences I'm going to make some modifications. I'll post them in the other thread.

My dinghy is very small and states maximum motor hp is 2.5. So this should be adequate. I'm going to keep my oars on the dinghy in any case.
