Depends how far you've spun, and if you stopped completely. Sometimes you can keep just enough way on to be able to get back under control and quickly gybe back (or gybe the pole if you wanted to gybe anyway) before it all goes completely wrong. Was never going to happen that day, we were way too far over and completely stopped. Driver (me) error, but in my defense it was my first race in over a year.

Do what Flaming did - shout at the crew! It was, after all, entirely their fault as was the prawn trawling that followed. It's the crew's job to keep the sails in a position where the helmsman can keep the boat under them. At least that's what I tell them.
