I have decided to take the plunge. Can anyone recommend an Ebay or Amazon seller from whom they have had good service. Just interested in sales experience do not want to debate the whys and wherefore. TIA.

Both eBay and Amazon will look after you should you have a problem, just make sure it’s a U.K. supplier if it’s eBay you go with.

Edit - if you can find a U.K. eBay seller with 100% good feedback he or she will be VERY keen not to let negative feedback drop that figure at all.

I've finally decided to take the plunge for a Chinese heater, I'm waiting for a Lavaner Pro 2kw. A lot of recommendations on the chinese heater facebook groups (see below for differences) The manufacturer actually posts on the group and is very helpful. They're normally shipped through a EU warehouse (aliexpress warehouse) however with all this VAT malarkey they've stopped shipping to the UK. The manufacturer is trying to set up a UK warehouse to deal with distribution (they've just done the same with America).

If you're not in a rush then it may be worthwhile checking them out.

The Differences Between PRO and STD

1. ECU
PRO’s ECU is covered by Housing, the ECU is well protected.
STD’s ECU is not covered by Housing

2. Waterproof Connector
The connector is waterproof in ECU, STD’s connector is not waterproof

3. Wiring Harness
PRO’s Harness is longer and has Waterproof plug., STD’s Harness is short and lack of waterproof plug.

4. Burner
PRO get a quality Burner, Burner in STD is thinner

5. Exhaust Pipe
PRO get a pipe same as Webasto and Eberspaecher, STD is just a standard pipe

6. Quantities
PRO has two air outlets, two air ducts. STD only gets one.

I have heard the Lavanar pro is good and may get one eventually.I installed a Hcalory Chinese diesel heater 2years ago and has been working fine.

Eberspacher are a pretty reliable supplier of Chinese diesel heaters Perhaps you meant cheap diesel heaters...

Apparently they're actually a manufacturer selling direct rather then a reseller so they're pretty helpful and you get what you order.

Talk of e-marked as well but who knows?

The connectors on my Chinese heaters are keyed. In fact, they are identical to the Eber ones and everything is interchangeable.

they come with a tank in the kit.

Both heater I've bought came with a slimline 10l tank. Can't quite bring myself to throw them away, but as they have breather caps they're not much use for storing anything in.

Fitted one last year. Bought two so I have a full set of spares. 250 for both. Fitted onto old eber exhaust and ducting so a simple job.

Pleased with the results.

I feel like if everyone just referred to the brand names, this would be a lot easier. Lavaner is the first time I've seen a brand mentioned and recommended, and it certainly takes some of the unknown away. The CE certification is certainly helpful too!
